FAB Egypt is the first Bank in Egypt to conform to the ISO 45001: 2018 Standard for Occupational Health and Safety
Independently assessed by BSI, the First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) is now officially the first financial institution in Egypt to conform to ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems Standard.
The new international standard, which is now released, supersedes OHSAS 18001 and shows the requirements for any organization to create and maintain a safe and healthy working environment for everyone. BSI has engaged with FAB, which has been through a rigorous assessment program, to prepare the FDIS (Final Draft International Standard) and a further review against the actual publication of ISO 45001.
FAB’s objectives to implement a rigorous Occupational Health & Safety management system strictly follow its efforts and endeavors to create a secure and safe workplace for workers and visitors alike.
Mohammed Fayed, the FAB Egypt CEO, commented about the event, saying: “We are very proud at FAB Egypt to be the first bank in Egypt to conform the newly published ISO 45001 standard on Occupational Health and Safety.
